Hello! My name is Monica Gordon and my background is primarily as a professional fine artist, which led me to the world of personal beauty services. I am a licensed cosmetologist and 2x certified sunless tanning specialist with over 6 years of experience. My inspiration is to not only create beautiful artwork and transformations on paper (I specialize in calligraphy) but also for people, by helping to celebrate and accentuate the beauty that I see in EVERYONE! It fills my cup to use my artistic skills to help people smile and give them a boost of confidence.
Aside from a keen artistic eye and love of color theory, I pride myself on having a friendly, warm and nurturing spirit, and I love taking care of people. I am a Wife and Mom of four (grown) kids, so it is in my nature and I have lots of practice! As my client, you will be treated as I would wish to be; cared about with respect, kindness and appreciation.
Being over fifty, I understand the changes and needs of all skin types, especially with mature skin. I have learned which products and techniques can impart a more “dewy” and youthful appearance, so the benefits to mature skin can go beyond simply looking beautifully tanned. The positive (and magical!) effects of sunless tanning is for every shape, color, skin type, and ANY age!
I love a calm vibe and a relaxing place to be and to work, so I transformed my salon suite into a warm and inviting little sanctuary for both of us, so you can leave your cares at the door :) I love scents and aromatherapy, so if you like it too let me know and we can enjoy it while you tan.
While my room is relaxing, my rules of salon safety are taken very seriously. I use a powerful 3 fan extraction unit while spraying, and all tools and brushes used are triple sanitized including with a UV-light oven. I also run a powerful HEPA filter in the room continuously for guaranteed CLEAN and fresh air.
